Requirements & Compatibility
To ensure a smooth installation and full functionality, please review the following fit and wiring requirements:

Potentiometer Mounting Holes:
Requires ⅜" (9.5mm) diameter holes to fit the low-profile push-push pots.
Most import guitars will need to enlarge their holes slightly using a hand reamer (not a drill) for a clean fit.

Body Style:
Designed for Les Paul–style guitars with a standard 2-volume / 2-tone / 3-way toggle control layout.
Works with most Gibson Les Paul, Epiphone Les Paul, PRS Se Single Cut (2v - 2T), Harley Benton, kit builds, Chibsons, and custom LP-style guitars.

Knob Fitment:
Pots are fine spline U.S.-sized shafts (24-tooth).
Use U.S.-spec knobs only. Import knobs may not fit.

Pickup Wiring:
Requires 4-conductor pickup wiring with a separate bare ground wire for full solderless installation.
Pickups with vintage braided wire are supported, but will require soldering the ground to the terminal block.

Toggle Switch Wiring:
Compatible with toggle switches wired with 4-conductor (shielded) cable.
For best results and easiest solderless installation, we recommend the Calitone 4-Conductor Shielded Switch which is selectable as an opiton.

💬 F.A.Q.
Q: Why do the volume knobs not go completely silent at zero?
A: To preserve blending in the middle position—just like Page’s rig. Series mode acts like a kill switch when in bridge position.
Q: Is this 50s wiring?
A: No. We use 60s-style wiring for smoother volume response and blendability.
Q: Do the push-push pots work like push-pull pots?
A: Yes, but push-push pots are faster and easier to switch, especially live—no need to pull the knob up.
Q: Will this fit my Epiphone or import LP?
A: Yes—as long as it follows the Les Paul 2V/2T layout and control holes are widened to ⅜" (9.5mm). Perfect for kits and modders.
Q: What type of pickup wiring is required?
A: This harness is designed for pickups with 4-conductor wiring and a separate bare ground wire.
